Sie ist von Gräften umschlossen und besteht aus der Vorburginsel mit der ehemaligen Zentralen Restaurierungswerkstatt des Landschaftsverbandes Westfalen-Lippe, der Hauptburginsel mit der aus dem 14. – 18. Jahrhundert stammenden Hauptburg und der Garteninsel. Haus Lüttinghof wird erstmals urkundlich 1308 erwähnt. Seit dieser Zeit haben insgesamt sieben Familien nachweisbar auf der Burg gelebt. Die gotische St. Antonius Kapelle auf der Vorburginsel wurde 1974 wegen Baufälligkeit abgebrochen, der Grundriss ist noch auf der Rasenfläche erkennbar. Seitlich der Toranlage steht ein kleines Giebelhäuschen von ca. 1850-60 und diente wahrscheinlich als Hundehütte. Der Weg ist ca. 2 km lang und führt euch entlang der Gräfte dieser Anlage. Das letzte Stück ist nicht für Kinderwagen geeignet und ist nach längerem Regen nur mit festem Schuhwerk begehbar. Parken bei N 51° 37.129‘ E 7° 02.293‘. Sucht in der Nähe des Parkplatzes Steine, die eindeutig zu einer der ehemals vier vorhandenen Mühlen gehörten. A = Anzahl dieser Steine Schaut euch die Brücke zur Vorburginsel an. It is situated in a nature reserve. It is moated and consists of three islands. On the first island you will find the former central restoration works of the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe, on the next you will see the castle built between the 14th and 18th century, on the last there is the former garden. “Haus Lüttinghof” is first mentioned in a document in 1308. Available documents show since that time seven families have lived in the castle. The gothic chapel on the first island was demolished in 1974 due to dilapidation, the ground plan is still visible on the lawn. On the right hand side of the entrance gate you can see a small gabled house dating from 1850-1860; this was probably used as a dog kennel. The walk will be 2 km long and will lead you along the moat. The last part is not suitable for prams and after heavy rain you will need sturdy footwear. Parking at N 51° 37.129‘ E 7° 02.293‘. Eine nette kleine Runde, bei der sich Frau Tischbein besonders bei der Ermittlung von "DEF" hervortun konnte.
Die Kinder hatten eh' mehr Spass an der zahlreich vorhandenen Matschepampe.
An dem anderen Logeintrag von heute sehen wir, dass wir unsere Log-Aktivitäten vor den umhergehenden Anglermuggeln gut "getarnt" haben.
