This cache is located in the beautiful Bavarian landscape
and can be easily reached in a short hike on excellent trails.
Starting from Oberstdorf (OA, Bavaria) you have 3 possible ways to reach the cache:
Either you hike or you ride a bike starting from the lower station of the Nebelhorn cable car station on a nice but sometimes very steep trail towards the Nebelhorn. You will need approximately one hour. Along the trail you will pass the second station of the Nebelhorn cable car, which is about half way up the mountain. There you will have a chance for a rest in the possible restaurants.
Second you choose the Nebelhorn cable car and go up to the station in the middle and you can reach the cache within 20 mins.
While around this area you shouldn't miss to go all the way up the Nebelhorn. You can reach it easily with the cable car. From there you can walk down the mountain to the cache. The approximate needed time for this hike is about 1 ¼ hours. Unfortunately this trails is very steep.
Picture #1 shows the bench besides the trail. In the background you see an old tree log, about 30 steps away from the bench. In the roots of that tree you can find plastic "Tupperware" box with a yellow lid, about 10 x 12 cm big. Picture #2 gives a clear view of the tree.
Picture #3 shows a 3D view of the Faltenbachtal.
Picture #4 shows the Schattenberg which is to the opposite of the cache.
In the box is a log book, a ball pen, a deck of cards, a bar of soap and a swiss flag.

fares vary from 15,- Euro for a single ride up to the middle station to 22.50 Euro for a full round trip all the way and down.
Opening times during the summer: 8:30 am - 4:50 pm
The parking at the cable car is subject to charges.
How-to-reach:
By car: to Oberstdorf (www.oberstdorf.de) and follow the signs in town.
By train: use the railroad (www.bahn.de) to station Oberstdorf and continue with the local bussing (www.rvo-bus.de) running every 15 mins.

Dieser Cache liegt in schönster Bayerischen Landschaft und kann nach einer kurzen Wanderung auf guten Wegen erreicht werden.
Von Oberstdorf (OA, Bayern) gibt es drei Möglichkeiten:
Entweder wandert man oder nimmt das Bike, ausgehend von der Talstation der Nebelhornbahn, auf einem guten aber teilweise steilem Weg über die Mittelstation Richtung Nebelhorn. Wanderzeit etwas über eine Stunde. Auf der Höhe der Mittelstation gibt es 2 Gasthöfe.
Oder man nimmt die Nebelhornbahn und fährt bequem bis zur Mittelstation und ist in 20 Minuten am Cache.
Wer schon in der Gegend ist sollte es nicht verpassen und auf's Nebelhorn gehen. Man erreicht es bequem mit der Seilbahn. Von dort wandert man talwärts bis zum Cache. Die Gehzeit beträgt 1h15Min. Der Weg ist leider sehr steil.
Auf dem Foto Nr: 1 sieht man eine Bank neben dem Weg. Im Hintergrund ist ein alter, grosser Baumstrunk zu sehen, 30 Schritte von der Bank entfernt. Im Wurzelwerk ist eine Tupperdose mit gelbem Deckel, 10 x 12cm versteckt. Auf dem Foto Nr: 2 sieht man den Baumstrunk gut. Auf dem Foto Nr: 3 sieht man das Faltenbachtal in 3D-Ansicht. Foto Nr. 4 zeigt den Schattenberg gegenüber dem Cache.
In der Box gibt es ein Logbuch, einen Kugelschreiber, ein Kartenspiel, eine Seife und eine Schweizerfahne.

Anfahrt: Mit dem PKW nach Oberstdorf (www.oberstdorf.de), am Ortseingang Beschilderung oder mit der Bahn (www.bahn.de) bis Station Oberstdorf und dort mit dem Bus (www.rvo-bus.de) im 15-Minuten Takt.
